    • New

A public site you can read without an account

Each part of Augment has its own page, with real questions, notes and cards on it, and the data booklets are free to read. Every count on the site is taken from what is published, with the date beside it.

      Features
    • Improved

The question bank, notes and quick fire open faster

Their first pages need fewer trips to the server, so they appear sooner. The worksheet builder now offers only subjects that have questions.

    • New

Review the quick-fire questions you missed

A review queue gathers the questions you got wrong last time and the ones that are slipping. A review round can mix subjects, so one round covers everything you practice.

      Quick fire
    • New

Study a folder of flashcard decks as one

A folder now studies its decks together, with daily limits of its own. Filtered decks and custom study pull cards in by a search, for the night before a test.

      Flashcards
    • New

      Flashcards you answer by typing

A new card type asks you to type the answer before you see it, which suits vocabulary and spellings. It ignores case and spacing, accepts alternatives and shows which letters were wrong.

      Flashcards
    • Improved

      More ways to study flashcards

Study options now include a timer on each card and moving on by itself after a set time. You can also reset a deck to start it again, after typing its name to confirm.

      Quick fire
    • New

    • Improved

      Your age, asked once

Augment is for students aged 13 and over, so sign-up now asks your age in years, never your date of birth. From 13 to 17, a parent or guardian needs to agree to the terms.

      For parents
    • New

Privacy policy and terms on their own pages

Both are written to be read, with a list of sections to jump between and the date of the last change at the top.

    • New

      Quick fire

Rounds of 5, 10 or 20 short multiple-choice questions, and a strength for each topic that grows with right answers and fades when you stop practicing. A wrong pick shows a hint about why, and you choose again.

      Quick fire
    • Content

      Quick-fire questions for five subjects

Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Physics and Maths: analysis and approaches now have quick-fire questions.

      Quick fire
    • Fixed

Strength needs more than one right answer

One right answer could fill a whole topic. Strength now builds from several questions answered right over days, and repeating the same question on one day adds little.

    • Fixed

Broken math in some quick-fire questions

A few published questions showed stray symbols where their math should have been. We corrected and republished them.

    • New

The day each notes page was last reviewed

Every notes page shows when it was last checked, or when it was published if nobody has reviewed it since.

      Notes
    • Improved

      A clearer notes reader

The outline of the page moved to the left, and a thin bar along the bottom shows how far through the page you are. Your own subjects are now listed first in notes and the question bank.

    • New

      Download your data

Settings has a button that downloads everything Augment keeps about you, in one file.

      Setting up your account

When you first log in, a short setup asks your name, your exam session, your subjects and levels, and what you want Augment for. Close it whenever you like and finish it later from the dashboard.

    • New

      A focus timer

Turn it on from the account menu and a 25-minute timer sits in the sidebar, with a break after each block. It keeps time as you move between pages, and it can pop out as a small card.

    • Fixed

      Large glossaries show every term

Subjects with very long glossaries were missing terms from the A to Z page, the finder and the definitions on notes pages. Every term loads now.
