Reading a boundary

A boundary is a percentage of the whole subject, not of one paper. Each paper and the internal assessment count by their weight.

Say Paper 1 is worth 36%, Paper 2 44% and the internal assessment 20%. Half marks on every one of them gives 50% overall. Full marks on the IA and half on both papers gives 60%. The boundary table then says which grade that is.

The grade calculator does this sum for you, with the real weights for your subject and level.
