Check your six IB subjects
Fill the six places with subjects and levels. The checklist under them says whether that’s a valid Diploma, and what’s missing or in the way if it isn’t.
0 of 6 chosen
HL 0 of 3 to 4 · SL 0
Start with any place. Subjects that can’t go with your choices are grayed out, with the reason.
Saving needs a free account. You pick your subjects again once you’re in, under the same rules.

The rules it checks
The same rules Augment uses when you choose your subjects in your account, taken from the IB’s program documents and subject guides.
- Six subjects, three or four of them at HL.The rest at SL. Some courses are offered at one level only, such as ab initio languages.
- One from each of groups 1 to 5.Group 2 can be a second language A instead, for students who take two literatures.
- An arts subject, or one more from groups 1 to 4 in its place.A second science or a second humanities subject is the usual swap.
- One math course.Analysis and approaches or applications and interpretation, not both.
- One course per language.English A and English B can’t be taken together, nor a B course and ab initio in the same language.
- Interdisciplinary courses count twice.Environmental systems and societies counts for group 3 or 4, and Literature and performance for group 1 or 6. Fill both places with one and you can pick a subject from any group but math.
What it doesn’t check
- Which subjects your school offers, or which ones clash on its timetable.
- What universities ask for. Check each course’s own entry requirements.
- Subjects we don’t have in Augment yet. If yours is missing, the checker can’t place it.
