November 2027 IB exams

Written exams run from Friday 22 October 2027 to Friday 12 November 2027, on the IB’s provisional dates. Results come out on 16 December 2027.

Counting the days…

Twelve weeks, one stage at a time

Weeks are counted back from the first exam, so “two weeks to go” means exactly that. This week is marked once the page has loaded. Swap the order of stages if your school’s mocks fall in the middle.

  1. Find out where you stand

12 to 9 weeks to go

Go through each subject topic by topic. A quick-fire round of ten questions on a topic takes a few minutes and shows whether it has stuck. Write down the topics that come back weak, and read their notes before anything else.

    • 30 Jul to 5 Aug
    • 6 Aug to 12 Aug
    • 13 Aug to 19 Aug
    • 20 Aug to 26 Aug
  2. Work through the weak topics

8 to 5 weeks to go

Two or three topics a day, in exam-style questions. Answer on paper, then mark yourself against the markscheme and be honest about part marks. Keep ten minutes of flashcards going every day alongside.

    • 27 Aug to 2 Sept
    • 3 Sept to 9 Sept
    • 10 Sept to 16 Sept
    • 17 Sept to 23 Sept
  3. Sit whole papers

4 to 3 weeks to go

Build a worksheet from the topics of one paper and do it in the time that paper allows. Mark it the same day. Keep the formula or data booklet open beside you, the way it will be in the exam.

    • 24 Sept to 30 Sept
    • 1 Oct to 7 Oct
  4. Go back to what slipped

    2 weeks to go

Return to the questions the papers showed up. Quick fire keeps a review queue of the questions you missed last time and the ones you’re starting to forget, so the week has a list to work from.

    • 8 Oct to 14 Oct
  5. Keep it light

    1 week to go

Short rounds and cards, nothing new. Check your timetable, your exam zone and what you can bring into the room. Sleep matters more this week than one more topic.

    • 15 Oct to 21 Oct
  6. Between papers

    22 October 2027 to 12 November 2027

Revise for the next paper, not the last one. Once a paper is done, leave it. The evening before the next one, a short round on its topics and a look through the booklet is enough.

The dates, and where they come from

Only dates the IB has published. Nothing here is worked out from earlier years.
